I attended the birth of my grandchild recently. Although myself and my daughter were badly let down  when I was in labour, my daughter who suffers from Cerebral Palsy could not have wished for better health care. They were well aware of her condition plus the fact that she has some degree of Ehlers-Danlos. She was protected from any problems that could arise, throughout her pregnancy and her labour. During her labour, she was regularly checked by nurses and doctors. Her room was spotlessly clean. Her partner and myself were taken care of too. It was 5 star treatment that even money could not buy. My granddaughter arrived safe and sound in a loving, caring, clean enviroment just a few minutes after a shift change. The midwife in charge telephoned from home to check that my daughter and baby were okay. We must give credit where it is due. Thank you Royal Oldham Hospital for ensuring that my granddaughter and daughter were safe in what could have been a traumatic birth if you had not given them the best possible care and attention. Thank you too the midwives and doctors for bringing my granddaughter into this world safe and sound.
